The Scotch Blog and Kashrus

Not to brag, but a shorter, translated-where-necessary version of a 2-piecer (see here and here)I did a while back has been published on The Scotch Blog. Kevin Erskine, the author of the blog, and I correspond frequently and requested that I do this piece for him. Check it out!

Mazal Tov! Good job, Alan.
How did you like the Caoran Reserve on Shabbos? Someone gave me a bottle he purchased from duty free as a gift...a bit too smoky for my taste. It was put to good use when we had a couple of yeshiva guys for a meal who promptly downed the liter-sized bottle in about two hours.
Enjoy the rest of the trip! Lechaim!!

Really liked the Caroan Reserve. I'm slowly getting into the Islay stuff, and this one didn't seem so smokey on the front end; only on the finish. I'm not a fan of the Fiddich 12, but this one definitely was worth trying.

I don't know if any of you are aware of this fact, but Kevin Erskine, the author of "The Scotch Blog" was born of a Jewish mother, and is therefore considered to be a Jew!
